ASP Baton Training

Valley Guard Training offers ASP baton training as an add on to our PR-24 baton training.

The ASP Expandable Baton Training Course is designed to give ASP baton permit students a level of proficiency needed to carry and use a baton while on duty as Private Security Guards.

To be CERTIFIED to use and carry an ASP baton, students MUST complete a minimum of eight (8) hours of instruction.

Course Outline

This course includes instruction, certification, student handouts, and practical application. Subjects covered include:

• Moral and legal aspects of ASP baton usage
• Use of force
• ASP baton familiarization and it’s uses
• First aid for baton injuries
• Fundamentals of ASP baton handling
